On Wednesday 3 April 2019, the Futures Forum and the Scottish Parliament Information Centre hosted a breakfast seminar with speakers from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on science, policy and solutions on a global scale.
The speakers, Youba Sokona, IPCC Vice-Chair; Thelma Krug, IPCC Vice-Chair; and Jim Skea, IPCC Working Group III Co-Chair, are at the cutting edge of global climate science. They shared their assessments of the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, options for adaptation and mitigation, and the direct implications for policy.
